About Dr. Lauren
Lauren’s passion and dedication to medicine stems from her own experience of healing and she understands what it is like to be a patient firsthand creating a sense of responsibility in her to ensure the people that come into her treatment room feel empowered and heard by their practitioner.
She has worked in Austin, Texas and Charleston, South Carolina and is now very excited to be back where she grew up here in Pennsylvania.
She is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine with a specialization in Chinese Herbal Medicine. This is a specialization requiring additional training and extensive education in single herbs, herbal formulas, patent medicines, herbal treatment of disease, herb safety, herb-drug interactions and prescribing herbs for dermatology, gynecology, pediatrics, and oncology.
At the onset of her studies at AOMA, Lauren also became a student of traditional shamanism under the guidance and instruction of her teacher one of the last Traditional Shamans alive today. For five years she was an apprentice where she learned balance, practiced and developed her skills of commitment, volition, patience and perseverance and deepened and cultivated her awareness and compassion. She recognizes that every person lives in their own reality and what is created by each person in their own reality is their free will right to choose and to be respected above all else.
She is additionally a Reiki practitioner and received her undergraduate degree from Boston University in Political Science.
She is especially passionate about fertility, pain management , emotions and transitions and neurology in her clinical practice. She has interned at the VA and has successfully helped women facilitate the conditions for conceptions and healthy pregnancies. She loves her work and looks forward to meeting with you.
